Found in a Notebook: 1

Bal Natu, Mandali of Meher Baba
Meherazad, 1976

Some notes I jotted down in a notebook while in India years ago.

Bal Natu told me three words he does not like:

1) WORK

2) DEADLINE

3) TACT: He wishes to have the freedom to write whatever he feels without worrying about how others may take it.

Interesting, that last item, as I’ve never known him to write anything that someone would take badly. I recall three guidelines he liked; he called them the three “gates”: Before you speak, ask yourself, (1) Is it true? (2) Is it necessary? (3) Is it kind?
